Unveiling Your Ancestry, founded by Cynthia Owens, an Air Force Retiree, has been an avid genealogical researcher for over 20 years. Now utilizing her military acquired investigative "bulldog" skills to locate unknown ancestors.
Research experience encompasses various U.S. states, but enjoy the challenges of the south and particularly that of African-American lineages. Her passion for genealogical discovery has propelled an intense desire to conduct research and to provide verifiable family historical information.
So, if you are you interested in learning about your family's history, but lack the time or skills to do the research; or maybe your research has gone from gratifying to frustrating...as aways, I am here to serve you!
My role as a genealogical researcher is to reveal historical information in a way that you will be able to share it and honor your ancestor’s achievements, on a large poster size family tree.
A family tree is a living reflection of your lineage and in actuality is never completed because of life events such as births, deaths and marriages. Nonetheless, it is an illustrated heirloom of your ancestral threads woven together.
Usually, one’s family history can be traced back approximately 150 years, which represents five generations. This means that the scope of your tree will consist of your great-great-great-grandparents!
Taking into consideration that you have two parents, four grandparents, 8 great grandparents, 16 great-great grandparents and 32 great great-great grandparents, plus any aunts, uncles & siblings, obviously, you have the makings of an enormous tree.
For varied reasons, many ancestors journeyed away from areas of origination and in some instances, never returned. As a result, the details of family histories have been lost or concealed. Consequently, knowledge of one's lineage doesn’t extend beyond great-grandparents and for some, grandparents.
However, ancestral trees are a way of reclaiming the past! It not only identifies who your ancestors were and where they came from, but it provides an awareness of your roots; but ultimately, serves as a family heirloom to share and to cherish.
It all begins with a free consultation, for the gathering of information concerning what you would like to know about your ancestors; along with which of your family line(s) you're interested in discovering.
